Dharan

Dhãran is a design-led clothing label rooted in India’s living craft traditions. Its name comes from the Sanskrit root “धृ (dhṛ)”, meaning to hold, bear or uphold, and reflects the belief that what we wear should carry meaning, integrity and reverence. Founded by textile designers Rachna and Dhananjai Singh, Dhãran brings together hand block printing, natural dyeing, embroidery and thoughtful contemporary design. Since 2017, the label has created everyday garments that are modern in form, rich in craft and made to be lived in daily. From first sketch to final stitch, Dhãran honours artisan knowledge while carrying traditional textile practices forward with relevance, respect and purpose.
