Kastoor draws inspiration from Kabir Das’s famous couplet about Kasturi, the fragrance a deer searches for across the forest, unaware that it lies within. Rooted in India’s rich fragrant culture, we aim to revive the pure art of perfumery through “Modern Ittars” that blend centuries-old traditions with contemporary scent sensibilities. Founded by Esha Tiwari, who grew up in the fragrant lanes of Banaras and witnessed the artistry of traditional ittar-making, Kastoor is a humble attempt to bridge heritage and modernity. Paying homage to the artisans and the glorious history of Indian fragrances, we invite you to rediscover something personal, timeless and magnanimously fragrant.
